Privacy policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

toolfour.com is a free list of deals on developer tools. You don't need an account, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

  • Visiting pages. Our pages are delivered by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block attacks. We don't keep visit logs ourselves.
  • Google Analytics. It shows us which pages people use, so we can improve the site. It records the pages you view, how you found us, your device, browser and rough location, and clicks on links to other sites. Its ad features are switched off.
    • Outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, it uses cookies to recognize returning visitors.
    • In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, it runs without cookies. It sends only basic page-view details, with no ID that links your visits together.
  • "Claim" clicks. We count how many times each deal's link is opened per day, from Cloudflare's record of visits to the site, to show what's trending. Nothing about you is saved with it.
  • Votes and suggestions. We save your vote or suggestion and the date. Suggestions go through Cloudflare's human check (Turnstile) to stop spam.
  • Submitting a deal. We save the deal details and your email. We only use your email to contact you about your submission, and we never publish it. If you give a name to credit, we show it on the deal as "Found by". The form also uses Cloudflare's human check.
  • Spam limits. To limit how often someone can vote or submit, we use a scrambled code made from your IP address. It changes every day and is deleted after a day. Your IP address itself is never stored.
  • Light or dark mode. Your choice is saved in your browser only, and never sent to us.

Cookies

  • Google Analytics cookies (names starting with _ga), only outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland. They last up to 2 years.
  • Sign-in cookies for the people who run the site. Visitors never get these.
  • No ad cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or turn off Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out add-on.

Who we share data with

We don't sell, rent or trade your data. We'd only hand it over if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Click counts and votes: as long as the site runs. They hold nothing about you.
  • Scrambled IP codes: one day. Those from sign-in tries on our private pages: 15 minutes, and never more than a day.
  • Submitted deals and their emails: kept as a record of where a deal came from. Ask us and we'll delete your email.
  • Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.

Your choices

Email us to see, correct or delete anything you sent us, and we'll reply within 30 days. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, you can also contact your local data protection authority.

Children

The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
